The Midwest Community Development Institute (CDI) provides top-notch training in community and economic development. Join us for four days of fun yet intensive training this August in Moline, Illinois.
The complete CDI program involves completion of three 4-day training sessions, or Years. Participants advance from Year 1 (Fundamentals of Community Development) to Year 2 (How-to’s of Economic Development) to Year 3 (Managing the Development Organization).

CDI is Results Oriented
Sessions focus on opportunities currently available to communities. Participants are encouraged to think creatively, seek advice from one another and to work purposefully to bring positive change to their communities.

CDI Leads to Certification
CDI training is prestigious and nationally recognized. Participants gain an advantage in the fields of community and economic development. Community and economic development professionals, community leaders, and elected officials receive professional training on key economic and community development concepts through Midwest CDI.
